Remember the Maine, to hell with Spain!

Last evening, February 15 1898, the U.S.S. Maine was near Cuba in order to protect the U.S.' interests during the Cuban revolt against Spain. However, the U.S.S. Maine suddenly went under a surge of panic as the ship exploded and suddenly began to sink. Over three thousand passengers were on board, many died. Survivors say, as they started to hear the explosions you could see many Spanish divers surrounding the boat in the water. As soon as the explosions rang out, the divers began to evacuate from the scene, yelling obscenities towards the boat about how much they hated the U.S.. That's all the known information we have for now, as soon as survivor's reach the U.S. there will be additional information.
